Museum Frieder Burda

Frieder Burda was born in 1936 as the second son of publisher Franz Burda and entrepreneur Aenne Burda. A passion for art and an unerring eye for quality made him one of the most internationally important collectors of his generation. Founded by Frieder Burda in 2004, our museum is located on Baden-Baden's famous Lichtentaler Allee, directly adjacent to the Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden, to which it is connected by a glass bridge. Designed by renowned American architect Richard Meier, the building is often described as a “jewel in the park”. With an average of two to three temporary exhibitions each year, the museum has established itself as one of Europe's leading private museums and enjoys an outstanding international reputation.
