Afternoon Art Classes
Every afternoon, we offer ongoing creative classes for children, teens, and adults. Our program includes classes for little ones ages 4 and up, classes for ages 6 and up, a children's workshop for ages 8 and up, and classes for teens and adults. We provide the space and expertise to foster creativity. The focus is on allowing each individual to develop freely and to explore color, shapes, and techniques in a playful way. Inclusion is a given for us.
The courses consist of eight sessions and can be taken on an ongoing basis. They are held at the Kunstwerkstatt (a branch of the museum) at Lichtentaler Straße 64 in cooperation with vhs Baden-Baden. Registration is handled by vhs Baden-Baden via email at info@vhs-baden-baden.de. The Art Workshop will be happy to assist you.

Workshops for Children, Teens, and Adults
To complement the museum's exhibitions, we offer many creative workshops for children ages 6 and up on weekends and during school breaks. We paint and draw in the museum in front of the artworks, in the park, and in the art studio. Following in the footsteps of the great masters, we create our own art using plenty of paint, brushes, and pencils, sculpt with clay, or learn about printing techniques. Older children and teens can experiment with screen printing and linocut, or learn portrait drawing and watercolor techniques.
There’s something for everyone!
Inclusion is a given here. Many of our workshops begin with a child-friendly guided tour of the current exhibition. We also always have a few special classes on offer for our creative adults.
You can find all current workshops in our ticket shop. There, you can easily book online.

About the Art Workshop
The art studio was founded in Baden-Baden in January 2003 on the initiative of the philanthropist and art collector Frieder Burda.
As a branch of the museum located at Lichtentaler Straße 64, the Art Workshop offers a diverse and inclusive program of activities for children, families, and adults.
Collaboration with school classes is also an essential part of the museum’s educational programs.
The art workshop offers children, teens, families, schools, and preschools a varied, high-quality program of activities to complement the museum's exhibitions, including museum tours, workshops, classes, and special events.
Along this path, our young visitors discover the diversity of the visual arts. After their museum visit, they can creatively explore the key design elements of the exhibited artworks for themselves, under professional guidance and using high-quality art supplies.
Exploring different techniques and materials goes hand in hand with expanding one's personal expressiveness. The guiding principle and goal of our work is to present art in a vivid, hands-on, and experiential way for the enjoyment of our young visitors. We believe that art can connect cultures and build bridges.
We look forward to seeing you!
